Groton High School Lands On Top Of U.S. News 2024 Rankings

Two Groton public high schools were ranked by U.S. News & World Report.

GROTON, CT — Marine Science Magnet High School of Southeastern Connecticut in Groton is the No. 3 high school in the state, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Robert E. Fitch High School also made the top 100 in the state, landing at 75.

The rankings come from 2024 Best High Schools list published Tuesday from U.S. News & World Report.

Connecticut public high schools ranked second in the nation, with just under 43 percent of its schools in the top 25 percent.

The rankings also include the best magnet, charter and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) schools.
