Several Local Roads Flooded In Groton: Police

Local police departments are warning residents about roads that are flooded following Tuesday night's storm.

GROTON, CT — The City of Groton Police Department posted the following on Facebook regarding local roads closed due to flooding:

Due to last night's storm and today’s high tide, the following areas have flooding issues.

Avoid the following streets until the water recedes: Beach Pond Road, Shore Avenue and Tyler Avenue; and Jupiter Point Road.

Groton Town:
-South Rd underpass closed
-Poquonnock Rd **IS NOW OPEN**
-All of Bindloss Rd under water/ closed
-Gravel St closed between West Main and Park Pl/Eldridge
-Pearl closed from The Harp to St. Marks
-Toll Gate @ Burningtree flooded but passable
-River Rd closed from Starr St to the I-95 overpass
-Oral School Rd is closed from Boulder Ct to Cow Hill Rd

Groton City:
-Shore Rd closed
