GROTON, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

She is a direct support professional

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
She continues to work with individuals that are high risk during this time of covid 19 and making sure they have everything they need and are also not being affected by being stuck inside the house. My mom loves her job at ucp and then she has to come home and take care of my brother who is also special needs and never complains and always makes sure she isn’t bringing any sickness in our home

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
That she is a hero to me and my brother but also to the people she helps
