Man, 38, Dead After Hartford Shooting: Police

The Hartford Police Department is investigating the crime, which happened Friday night.

HARTFORD, CT — City police are investigating a fatal shooting Friday night that claimed the life of a 38-year-old male victim.

According to the Hartford Police Department, officers were called to Broadview Terrace at about 6:52 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, for a report of a person being shot near 389 Broadview Terrace.

When police arrived, they located a gunshot victim who was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition, but later he "succumbed to his injuries," police said.

Police identified the man as Miquel Alfinez, 38.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Division is investigating the shooting, and the probe is "active and ongoing," police said.
