The employees of J. Martin Landscaping maintained a calm demeanor and filmed the incident.

The video, which has accumulated 42,000 views on Facebook, shows Shaw and Bourgeois-Williams asking the workers of J. Martin Landscaping if they have a visa and are legally here.

At one point, one of the workers of J. Martin Landscaping tells his co-worker (in Spanish) not to do anything and let him (Shaw) do what he wants.

After carefully reviewing the video footage, the Middletown Police Department determined that Shaw and Bourgeois-Williams’ hostile behavior prevented one employee from moving freely in the roadway in violation of 54a-182, Disorderly Conduct, police said.

After consultation with the Middletown Superior Court, an arrest application was submitted for both parties, police said.

On Thursday, Oct. 12, arrest warrants were granted for Shaw and Bourgeois-Williams, and at around 6 p.m., they turned themselves in on their active warrants, police said.

Both were charged with disorderly conduct and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond, police said.

Shaw and Bourgeois-Williams are scheduled to appear in a Middletown Superior Court on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 9 a.m., police said.
