MIDDLETOWN, CT — The Buddhist Faith Fellowship, one of the most enduring and well-known Buddhist and meditation centers in Connecticut, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

It is located at 343 Washington Terrace in Middletown.

Since its founding, BFF has been dedicated to making Buddhist meditation, mindfulness, and the path of wisdom accessible to all truth seekers, whether Buddhist or not, in a warm and inviting community.

In 2026, BFF is expanding its offerings to provide an even richer range of opportunities for spiritual growth and exploration, including:

  • Meditation and Talk Sundays – In-person bimonthly sessions, Sunday 9 to 10:45 a.m., designed to support both beginners and experienced practitioners in cultivating mindfulness and insight.
  • Beginning Anew Silent Retreat (Sunday, Jan. 11) – A guided half-day retreat to pause, reflect, and reset in a peaceful environment overlooking an inspiring Zen garden.
  • Buddhism 101: The Basics (Sunday, Jan. 25) – An online course providing foundational teachings of Buddhism and practical mindfulness practices, open to all.
  • Sound Bathing and Healing Experiences (2026) – Unique opportunities to explore meditation and relaxation through sound, vibration, and guided practice. Yale Art Gallery Field Trip (Saturday, Jan. 31) – A cultural and contemplative experience connecting art, mindfulness, and insight.
  • Meditation Made Easy Course (Wednesday, Feb. 22) – An in-person class offering practical tools for bringing meditation into everyday life.
  • Additional offerings – Including Zen koan workshops, mindful hiking and biking experiences, Buddhist-style kirtans, and the celebrated Waterfall Meditation practice.
