Cromwell Car Fire Victim ID'd As Middletown Resident
A man who died in a Feb. 9 car fire in Cromwell has been identified as a 67-year-old Middletown resident.

CROMWELL, CT — A man who died in a Feb. 9 car fire at a park overlooking the Connecticut River in Cromwell has been identified as a 67-year-old Middletown resident.
On Monday, Cromwell police identified him as Roger Dailey. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the death was accidental, police said.
The car fire broke out in the area of Riverport Park at Frisbee Landings, a municipal passive recreation area located off River Road, police said. When they arrived at the scene, police and fire department crews encountered a vehicle completely engulfed in flames, authorities said.

The fire was extinguished quickly, but a man was then discovered dead inside the vehicle, police said.
