High Credit Card Fees Force Tibetan Kitchen to Cash Only

The next time you stop in for some sha momo or thukpa dhrang-mo at Tibetan Kitchen on Middletown's Main Street, you'll have to hit up the ATM first.
That's because high credit card charges of $500 to $600 monthly has, after just over a year in business, prompted co-owners Tsering Yangzom and Sherab Gyaltsen to a cash only transactions.
Yangzom says the change, effective June 1, is necessary to keep prices low. "We're a small business," run by family members in a cozy little storefront in the city's North End.
