Middletown Arrests: May 4-14
The following police reports are obtained from the Middletown Police public information officer and inclusion on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:
May 14
At 7:59 a.m., Rene M. Hirth, 35, of Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, was in a U-Haul disabled on Route 9 at Exit 15. He told officers he fell asleep at the wheel after being up all night moving from his parents home in Old Saybrook, according to the report. He has had two DWIs in the past, police say.
VIOLATION OF PROBATION — At 3:17 p.m., Chris McCall, 45, of Ray Hill Road, East Haddam, was found at Spear Park on Main Street with an outstanding warrant.
RISK OF INJURY TO CHILD, BREACH OF PEACE, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — At 1:24 p.m., Erin E. Coughlin, 38, of Rising Trail Drive was arguing with her 2-year-old's father, who was holding the child, and she threw a cup of bleach at him, according to the report. It splashed up his back and legs, police say, and Coughlin punched him in the head several times as she videotaped it. The report says she got angry that he wasn't arrested and was about to be released to appear in court when she said she would go see her kids anyway, despite the order, and would "kill" the child's father, so she was held in lockup after being sent to Middlesex Hospital for a well-being health check.

OPERATION WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED — Yashira M. Cordero, 23, of South Main Street, Waterbury, was driving on Washington Street weaving through traffic, according to the report.
OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE — At 9:15 a.m., Andrew R. Ciriello Jr., 39, of High Street was driving on High Street with a brake light out.
May 11
OPERATION WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED — At 5:11 p.m., Shalli Francis, 37, of South Main Street was driving a Nissan Altima on Stevens Lane at 42mph in a 25mph zone. Her license was suspended since Nov. 21, 2012.
OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE AND WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 9:19 a.m., Stephanie Smith, 46, of Chimney Road, Watertown, was driving at Green Street and deKoven Drive and stopped for a traffic violation. The report says police smelled marijuana inside the car.
POSSESSION NARCOTICS, POSSESSION LESS THAN HALF-OUNCE MARIJUANA — Earl V. Wilson, 42, of Chimney Road, Watertown, was a passenger in a car driving at Green Street and deKoven Drive and found with 8.4 grams of marijuana in a cigarette pack and 1.3 grams of cocaine powder. The report says a search also revealed two marijuana cigarettes and a small glass tube with marijuana inside.

DUI, FAILURE TO DRIVE IN PROPER LANE — At 1:47 a.m., Arthur J. Maitland, 23, of Sunset Terrace, East Hartford, was driving a Toyota Camry on Bernie O'Rourke Drive and pulled into the Sunoco station on Washington Street. The report says he drove over the curb and crossed the double-yellow line several times and police smelled alcohol on him and Maitland had bloodshot and glassy eyes. He denied drinking, the report says, then admitted to having seven or eight beers at Mad Murphy's. He has two prior DUIs
OPERATION WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 9:46 p.m., Manuel Bourgeois, 24, of Winchester Street, Hartford, was in a disabled Dodge Intrepid with dealer plates on Route 9 south. The report says the car is registered to a person in Plymouth, but Bourgeois said he bought it from a friend in Hartford.
May 6
OPERATION WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 11:15 p.m., Ashley A. Lombardo, 27, of Rocky Hill Avenue, New Britain, was at Washington and High streets.
May 4
POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL, POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUGS NEAR SCHOOL — At 7:21 p.m., Brittani V. Moore, 20, of Tupelo Place was sitting in an Infinity I30 at Wharfside Commons apartments on Ferry Street with another person with the motor running. The report says police smelled marijuana and she admitted to smoking a "joint" a half-hour prior, then a baggie with 6.4 grams of marijuana and $310 in cash was found. Moore told officers the car was loaned to her by a known drug dealer with multiple drug arrests, and he said not to drive around because of the drugs in the trunk of the car.
