North End Farmers Market is Hopping With Fresh Food

Friday's North End Farmers Market featured mid-summer vegetables like early corn, baby beets and radishes, tomatoes, squash, blueberries and cherries.

Wesleyan students manned the Long Lane Farm table, offering tastes of their wildflower jelly on fresh wheat bread, Chaplin Farm and George Hall Farm from Simsbury.

The Whey Station gourmet grilled cheese truck returned, bearing artisan cheese from Cato Corner Farm and sandwiches like the five-cheese Monger and Italian-inspired Caprese.

The market runs every Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of It's Only Natural Market on Main Street in Middletown.
