Obituary: Phyllis Busca, 83 of Middletown

January 4, 1932 - December 12, 2015

Phyllis Busca, 83 of Middletown, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2015 at Middlesex Hospital after a brief illness.

Phyllis was born January 4, 1932 and lived locally most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 yrs., Larry Busca.She was a devoted wife, mother and most of all grandmother. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Middlesex Hospital for 31 years. Phyllis was a wonderful cook and baker who enjoyed making meals and treats for others.

Those who knew her know how much pride she took in making her special “Napkin Roll” cookies at Christmastime.She is survived by her two loving daughters Linda Busca and Donna Calnan, both of Middletown as well as her beloved grandsons, Matthew Calnan of Middletown and Michael Calnan of Chico CA. Matt and Mike were the apple of her eye, her pride and joy! She is also survived by many relatives and dear friends.

Services will be Monday December 21st at D’Angelo Funeral Home from 8:30-10:30, followed by an 11:00 mass at St. James Church, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT. Burial will be at St. Sebastian’s Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her memory to The Office of Radio and Television,15 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, Ct. 06712-9969 which airs the Catholic mass every morning on local television.
