A North End woman who Middletown police say tried to pay less than half-price for a $22 pedicure was arrested last week for larceny.
On July 2 at 7:36 p.m., Markesha S. Parker, 36, of Rapallo Avenue was at Nail City on Main Street and refused to pay the owner after she got a pedicure, the report says.
The agreed-upon price was $22, police say, and half- to three-quarters way through, Parker told the owner to stop and she'd pay $10, but the clerk said the manicure was done and she owed $22.
Police determined the clerk was in the process of putting a clear top coat on Parker's toenails and therefore owed the full bill.
She was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
