MIDDLETOWN, CT — A car turned over after a highway collision with a tractor-trailer in Middletown Monday morning.

The crash was reported at abut 6 a.m.

When Westfield fire crews arrived at the scene on the northbound side Interstate 91, just past Exit 19, they encountered a car that was on its side.

The entire roof had to be cut out of the car in order to extract the driver, fire officials said.

There was no immediate word on injuries.
