Vet's Swim Team Travels to Berlin for First Meet of Summer

A light drizzle didn't hamper Middletown's 5- to 12-year-old swimmers who competed in relays at Percival Pool in Berlin.

The Vet's Swim Team juniors traveled to Berlin Monday for their first meet against the Berlin Dolphin Swim Team.

A light drizzle didn't hamper the 5- to 12-year-olds who competed in relays at Percival Pool in Berlin.

The Middletown Parks and Recreation team is made up of swimmers ages 5-18 who know at least one of the competitive strokes and can complete one lap before joining.

The seniors match up against the Seals Swim Team in South Windsor on Wednesday, and both the juniors and seniors travel face off against Windsor on July 10 at the Woodrow Wilson Middle School pool in Middletown at 6 p.m.

The director is Ashely Thody, Dan McAlear is head coach; Kaci Cotharin, Jerrod Zimmer, Coach Kelsie Sprague and Alexandra Dagenais are coaches; and founder and program director emeritus is Nick Dagenais.
