The Newington Police Department eventually stopped the suspect's vehicle on Monday, Sept. 22, in West Hartford, just over the border with Newington.

According to the NPD, Tanner Lee Flori (aka 'Ghost'), 21, of Somers, was charged Monday with interfering with a police officer, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disobeying the signal of an officer.

That vehicle, the NPD said, was being sought by Connecticut State Police because it had been connected with police pursuits from multiple agencies in several towns.

Both the NPD and West Hartford Police Department were able to "maintain active surveillance on the vehicle until the opportunity to safely stop the vehicle presented itself," the NPD wrote.

The Dodge ended up stopped in the area of Main Street and New Britain Avenue in West Hartford.

After the stop, NPD K-9 officer "Ray" and his handler investigated the stopped vehicle and detected narcotics in the vehicle.

Police said 3.9 grams of suspected meth/amphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia, were found in the vehicle.

When police questioned Flori, he would only identify himself as "Ghost," police said.

"Ghost," according to police, was then taken into custody, where his full name was learned and he was booked on his charges.
