• Three arrested after stolen vehicle detected by license plate reader in Newington (wfsb.com) — Newington police used a license plate reader Thursday morning to locate a reported stolen vehicle on the Berlin Turnpike, arresting three people in the Stop & Shop lot on Kitts Lane. Officers recovered a fake firearm, knife, and narcotics, and the suspects now face larceny, drug, and weapons-related charges with court appearances scheduled for December 19.
