Dada Post USA 

(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. Dada Post USA will continue in this inspiration. In 2022 Howard McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. NORWICH, CT — Two people were shot late Saturday night at Pistol Pete's Bar &amp; Grill, police said. Police said the victims' injuries were not life-threatening, and the victims were taken to Backus Hospital for treatment. The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the business, which is at 29 Stonington Road. Investigators seized a firearm and arrested a local man, who was found nearby, in connection with the shooting, police said. Keith Nival, 44, of Norwich, was charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree breach of peace. He is scheduled to be arraigned at Superior Court in Norwich on Oct. 2. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Mario Castro at 860-886-5561, ext. 3156. Tips may be provided anonymously.
