• Griswold couple accused of abusing, stealing from older woman, police say (ncadvertiser.com) — An elderly woman’s injuries discovered at Backus Hospital in Norwich led state police to charge a Griswold couple with abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. Investigators say the woman suffered brain trauma, severe malnutrition, and long-term mistreatment before the case reached Norwich Superior Court, where the suspects’ bonds were increased and further hearings scheduled.
