Body Found In Uncas Leap Heritage Park In Norwich: Police

Officials have not yet released the individual's identity.

NORWICH, CT — Police are investigating after a deceased person was discovered Tuesday in Uncas Leap Heritage Park.

Sgt. Ken Wright said police were summoned to the Yantic Street park around 11:07 a.m. Tuesday for a report of an “unresponsive individual.”

Responding officers determined the individual was deceased.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, police said.

An initial investigation shows no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, according to police.

“There is no threat or danger to the public, and the park remains open,” police said.
