Car Strikes Building, Driver Injured In Norwich

A car struck two businesses in Norwich on Saturday.

NORWICH, CT — A car struck a building in Norwich on Saturday night, according to WTNH News-8. Police responded to the call at 6:19 p.m.

Police said it appears the driver had a medical emergency before entering a rotary, then drove straight across the center island and hit two businesses at 2 Franklin St.

Police removed the person from the car and began CPR. The patient was transported to Backus Hospital for further treatment, WTNH News-8 reported.
