(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. NORWICH, CT — A four-vehicle crash in Norwich on I-3915 southbound led to injuries Tuesday, according to state police.The accident occurred between exits 14 and 18 at 1:31 p.m.The vehicles were in a construction zone when a Kenworth truck, which was hauling 25,000 lbs. of metal beam, struck another truck's rear. That truck then hit an SUV and a sedan. The metal beams in the Kenworth truck then became loose and went into the driver's compartment. This caused the driver to be trapped in the vehicle. The Kenworth truck's driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to William Backus Hospital in Norwich.Two others were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to state police.Anyone who witnessed the accident can contact Trooper Timothy Wengloski at 860-848-6500.
