Malloy Visiting Norwich Business to Discuss Second Chance Initiative
Second Chance is designed to help ex-offenders become productive members of society, Malloy said.

On Thursday, May 19, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will highlight his Second Chance 2.0 initiatives by visiting a small business in Norwich that has worked with the Connecticut Department of Correction to employ ex-offenders.
Joined by State Senator Cathy Osten (D-Sprague), Malloy will discuss efforts to help ex-offenders become productive members of society and the modernization the criminal justice system, according to a press release from Malloy's office.
"He will also highlight cost savings associated with the Second Chance 2.0 legislation, which — as part of the agreed-upon budget — would save taxpayers millions of dollar per year just by passing smarter, fairer policies and practices," the press release stated.
