Man Stabbed In Norwich; Investigation Ongoing: PD

Authorities believe it was a targeted attack, according to police.

NORWICH, CT — A man was stabbed Tuesday evening on Franklin Street, according to police.

The victim was taken to William W. Backus Hospital, where he was treated for “minor puncture injuries” and later released, police said.

The attack happened around 5:41 p.m. at 340 Franklin St., according to Sgt. Kenneth Wright.

“The incident is believed to be a targeted act, and there is no danger to the public at this time,” police said.
