• Why is the former superintendent the top earner in Norwich for FY25? (norwichbulletin.com) — Norwich’s latest payroll records show former school superintendent Kristen Stringfellow remained the city’s highest-paid employee in FY 2025, even while on paid leave and before departing the district. Newly released figures, obtained through a Freedom of Information request, detail top earners across Norwich Public Schools, police, fire, and City Hall, highlighting shifting leadership roles and rising compensation for several key positions.
   

• Singh says Norwich must work together to become 'the city of opportunity' (theday.com) — Norwich’s new mayor, Swarnjit Singh, used his first State of the City address to outline plans for economic growth, housing, public safety, and infrastructure, including new elementary schools and downtown redevelopment. He also announced four engagement initiatives, from a youth civic seminar to a mayor’s newsletter and monthly business spotlights, all aimed at making Norwich a more connected “city of opportunity.”
   

• New Diocesan Finance Officer Announced (norwichdiocese.org) — The Catholic Diocese of Norwich has appointed veteran finance executive Paul F. Dillon Jr. as its new Diocesan Finance Officer, succeeding longtime leader Karen Huffer. Alongside this leadership change, the diocese is also inviting nominations for its new Our Lady, Queen of Hope Award, which will honor a woman whose faith and service have significantly shaped church life in the Norwich area.
