An elementary school student was removed from a bus Tuesday morning after the driver learned that the student had a knife.

NORWICH, CT — An elementary school student was removed from a bus Tuesday morning after the driver learned that the student had a knife, The New London Day reported. The driver took the knife, then called police and school administrators.

Three police officers and a school administrator responded. The student was removed from the bus, which was bound for John B. Stanton School.

Police are investigating.
