Norwich Man Found Guilty in Murder of Norwich Woman
Norwich woman Casey Chadwick was stabbed 15 times in the neck and face in June 2015.

In June of 2015, Norwich woman Casey Chadwick, 25, was found deceased in the closet of her apartment.
Norwich resident Jean Jacques, a 41-year-old native of Haiti, was found guilty of the murder on Monday, April 11, according to the Norwich Bulletin. He reportedly plans on appealing the guilty verdict.
Chadwick had 15 stab wounds on her neck and face, a medical examiner stated after an examination in 2015. The prosecution sought to prove that Chadwick was stabbed by Jacques after a disagreement pertaining to drugs kept in the apartment by Jean Joseph.
Joseph was a resident of the apartment and a boyfriend to Chadwick, the Norwich Bulletin noted.
Jacques immigrated to the U.S. illegally and was convicted of attempted murder in 1996, ultimately serving 17 years in prison, the Norwich Bulletin reported. Why Jacques was not deported at the time is under investigation.
