Norwich School Board To Discuss Mask Mandate

The school board will discuss at an upcoming meeting how to proceed once the statewide mask mandate is lifted.

NORWICH, CT — The Board of Education will hold a special meeting Thursday to discuss whether a school mask mandate should continue beyond Feb. 28, when Gov. Ned Lamont plans to end the statewide mandate, according to The New London Day. The board will meet via Zoom at 5:30 p.m. and may vote on the item.

Norwich Superintendent Kristen Stringfellow told the school board that it would only need to vote if it wishes to continue the mask mandate past Feb. 28, as it will automatically end on that date.
