Norwich Schools Scrap School Uniform Policy: Report

The school board voted to eliminate a school uniform policy that has been in effect since 2009.

NORWICH, CT — The Norwich Board of Education voted to nix its existing school uniform policy at a meeting last month, which will be replaced by a school dress code, according to The Norwich Bulletin. The uniform policy had been in place since 2009 and will continue to apply to students from preschool through eighth grade for the rest of the school year.

A Board of Education official said the biggest advocates for changing the policy were the students and that parent opinion was split.
