Water Main Repairs In Norwich Complete: Crews Restoring Service
The repairs were needed following damage Thursday.

NORWICH, CT — Norwich Public Utilities announced this afternoon that repairs to the water main downtown are finished, and crews are now in the process of turning the mains back on.
The announcement on Facebook came around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to NPU, a third-party contractor “working with the Reid and Hughes development damaged an NPU water main while installing a water service for the building.”

Some residents didn’t have water service while repairs were made.
The water outage was in the Norwich downtown rotary area, along Main Street from Cliff to Broadway as well as Franklin Street up to Willow Street, according to the utility.
