(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. NORWICH, CT — Norwich Public Utilities announced this afternoon that repairs to the water main downtown are finished, and crews are now in the process of turning the mains back on. The announcement <a href="https://www.facebook.com/NPUtilities" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">on Facebook</a> came around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. According to NPU, a third-party contractor "working with the Reid and Hughes development damaged an NPU water main while installing a water service for the building." Some residents didn't have water service while repairs were made. The water outage was in the Norwich downtown rotary area, along Main Street from Cliff to Broadway as well as Franklin Street up to Willow Street, according to the utility.
