Oxford Resident Wins Big Lottery Prize
An Oxford resident won a substantial prize while playing KENO, as reported by the Connecticut Lottery.
OXFORD, CT — A Connecticut Lottery ticket sold at a Waterbury convenience store recently turned into a big win for an Oxford resident, officials said.
The winning ticket was a KENO ticket purchased on Jan. 2 at Thapa Convenience in Waterbury, according to the Connecticut Lottery. The ticket was worth $26,000.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including winners’ full names in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
As of Oct. 1, 2025, the CT Lottery no longer publishes winners’ names without their written consent, officials said.
