Oxford World War II Veteran Recognized for Service
The veteran received a medal for his service nearly 70 years later.

An Oxford World War II veteran was presented with a Bronze Star on Wednesday for his service during the war, the Republican-American reports.
Vahan Hovey, 88, was presented with the medal at the Oxford Senior Center during an early Veterans Day celebration.
Hovey, who already has six medals was contacted by the U.S. Department of Veterans last year saying they were searching for qualified veterans who may not have received their medals, the paper reports.
