What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?
Laura is more than an achieving student studying human development and family studies; she is a hands-on caregiver with heart. Her diverse jobs and volunteer efforts have all involved those that are less fortunate. From working with many special needs children as an aide, to pursuing a minor in gerontology inspired by the elderly, to even spending time weekly with aging dogs, Laura truly seeks out ways to make others feel better and happier. Moreover, she volunteered as a team leader for HuskyThon raising funds for Connecticut Children’s Hospital. Her focus has always been on helping those less fortunate for the benefit of that individual. This is why I feel Laura should be recognized as someone that who continually takes action in giving and hopes to inspire others to as well.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Laura!
