After 35 Years, South Windsor Home Furnishings Store Set For Closure

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — After 35 years as a pillar of the South Windsor business community, the owner of Now! Furnishings to Go has decided to retire and shutter its doors.

The store, noted for its exciting yet affordable mix of contemporary furnishings and accessories from around the world, began a liquidation sale of more than $1 million in inventory Thursday.

Its showroom, located at 41 Glendale Road just off John Fitch Boulevard, or Route 5, contains 20,000 square feet of top-quality furniture and accessories, including many name brands.

In a written statement, founder Anthony Traister said:

"I am deeply grateful to my incredibly supportive wife, Brigitte, as well as to the loyal staff, customers and manufacturing partners who have provided tremendous support and friendship over the past 35 years. Our beautiful doodle, Bailey, who has been the store’s official greeter for the last two-and-a-half years, also thanks everyone for their love."
