All Invited to Tuesday, November 25th Interfaith Pre-Thanksgiving Service in South Windsor

Free community-wide event will feature inspirational readings, comments, music and songs by area clergy and leaders of many faiths

Everyone is invited to an uplifting Interfaith Pre-Thanksgiving service on Tuesday, November 25 at 7 p.m. in South Windsor at Wapping Community Church, UCC, 1790 Ellington Road (corner of Sullivan Avenue and Oakland Road).

This annual free South Windsor event will feature inspirational readings, comments, music and songs by area clergy and leaders of many faiths, including: Rev. Mark Abernethy of Wapping Community Church UCC; Cantor Talya Smilowitz of Temple Beth Hillel synagogue; Rev. Anne Fraley of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church; Pastor Dean M. Kucera of First Congregational Church of South Windsor, UCC; Rev. Edward J. Przygocki from Saint Junipero Serra Parish; Deacon Ed Giard from Saint Junipero Serra Parish; State Sen. Saud Anwar, M.D., a member of the Muslim community; the Rev. Christine Boylan from Unity Church of Greater Hartford; and Mark Cabot, a member of the Baha’i faith.

Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of whether they belong to a religious congregation. Worshipping in an interfaith community can remind people that we are here for each other, and with each other...especially now. Light refreshments will follow the service.
