Camerota, Donlin, Zukauskas: Recent Death Notices From South Windsor

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent death notices from South Windsor.
Anthony Camerota Jr., 81, of Manchester, formerly of South Windsor, loving husband of over 57 years of Betty (Pinney) Camerota, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 30, 2025. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly serving in the U.S. Navy. From 1983 until his retirement in 2008, Tony was the head custodian at South Windsor High School and later at Orchard Hill Elementary School. Tony especially enjoyed his duties as the crossing guard at the corner of Foster and Orchard Hill streets for many years.
James Donlin, 68, died peacefully on April 1, 2025. After high school, he served his country with the U.S. Army, spending time in Korea, and later served in Operation Enduring Freedom. Jim retired from the army after 20 years of service. He was president of Eljen Corporation, where he made lifelong friends. He loved to fly, spending time in the sky whenever he could as a private pilot. He was an avid golfer and could be found taking his motorcycle out for a long ride when the weather was nice.

Joseph Zukauskas, 86, beloved husband of the late Helen (Wiekrykas) Zukauskas, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025. Joseph worked as an actuary for the Aetna Insurance Company until his retirement in 1997. His favorite retirement activities included enjoying more than a few rounds of golf, trips to Las Vegas and weekly casino runs with his wife. More recently, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune became his games of choice.
