SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.
University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI
- The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 3,500 of its newest alumni, including three from South Windsor, during its 2025 commencement ceremonies on May 16-18, 2025. Carly Cassettari graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in textile fashion merchandising & design; Dominic Russo graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in finance; and Hannah Sweet graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in global language & area studies, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.

- South Windsor residents Elizabeth Burnham, Kevin Culligan and Matthew Waterman were named to the President's List for the spring 2025 semester. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.
- Charles Bemis, Elizabeth Burnham, Kevin Culligan, Olivia Mack, Connor Mahan and Matthew Waterman, all of South Windsor, were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester.
