Car Thefts, Coffee and Scorpions

Five things to help you get organized for Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013.

1. Police are warning all residents to lock their car doors and not to leave any valuables in sight in your vehicles after a rash of car break-ins over the weekend.

2. Where's your favorite coffee shop in South Windsor? Well, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy stopped by Between Rounds Bakery Cafe on John Fitch Boulevard Monday and really seemed to enjoy it. Maybe he'll become a regular?

3. The South Windsor Library will host a kid friendly event on Tuesday at 2 p.m. entitled "Spiders, Scorpions and Centipedes." You can probably already figure out what it's going to be about (they'll even be live examples of some of the critters on hand).

4. Are you signed up for South Windsor Patch's breaking news alerts yet

5. Unemployed or underemployed? Then this networking group at the Wesley United Methodist Church in East Windsor is probably for you.
