Driver Threatened To Kill Person At Gas Station, Police Say

Police said the suspect exited his vehicle and threatened to kill the victim before leaving the area.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Vernon man faces a threatening charge following a reported road-rage incident at a South Windsor gas station, police said.

South Windsor police said officers responded to the Pride gas station on John Fitch Boulevard at about 5:55 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report that a driver in the parking lot had threatened to kill another person.

According to police, the victim reported that while parking at the gas station, his vehicle was cut off by another car driven by Kaylon Graham, 20, of Vernon. Police said Graham then exited his vehicle, ran aggressively toward the victim’s car, and threatened to kill him before leaving the area.

Investigators later identified Graham, who subsequently turned himself in at police headquarters, according to police. Graham was processed and released on a $7,500 bond.

Police say Graham is charged with threatening in the first degree. He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 24 at 9 a.m.

All charges are allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
