SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The latest edition of our periodic informal series highlighting businesses from South Windsor's past, and what those locations look like today, goes back to page 151 of the 1970 South Windsor High School yearbook, the Centurion, and an ad for Captain Mac's Seafood.

Captain Mac's was located at 978 Sullivan Ave. It offered a fresh variety of seafood daily, including oven ready baked lobster and shrimp, and was famous for its "king size fish and chips to go." The shop was open four days a week, Thursdays through Sundays.

It is not known exactly when the seafood outlet closed up, but an endless supply of businesses have occupied the space since the 1970s. Most recently, it was home to RAVE Studios by Dance Progressions, before it moved down the street to its new location at 150 Sullivan Ave.
