South Windsor Athlete Named ECSU's Female Rookie-of-the-Year

South Windsor's Gia Karahalios, a freshman soccer player at Eastern Connecticut State University, was recently named Eastern Connecticut's Female Rookie-of-the-Year.

Karahalios, a center back, started every match, led all Eastern players in minutes per game, and received numerous program accolades throughout the season, according to the university.

She is the daughter of Deena and Arthur Karahalios of South Windsor.
