South Windsor Athlete Wins State Title At Indoor Track Championships

NEW HAVEN, CT — An athlete from South Windsor High School brought home a state title for the Bobcats at the CIAC Class LL indoor track and field championships Friday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.

Senior Shawn Baidoo leaped 22 feet, 3.25 inches to capture the long jump competition, half a foot further than the runner-up.

The Bobcats compiled 16 points to tie for 13th of 24 teams which scored points. Hamden had 50 points to win the team championship.
