What city or town do you live in? South Windsor
What office are you seeking? Town Council
Party affiliation: Republican
Education: Graduated from CCSU
What is your occupation? Small business owner
Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them. Wife and two daughters
Does anyone in your family work in politics or government? No
Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?
Yes I’m currently on the Town Council
Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
I have lived in town all of my life and want to ensure it remains a wonderful town that folks desire to live in. I noticed that not many of my classmates moved back to town after college and that is a concern for me. Change is needed to get this town back to where I remember it as.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Taxes, I intend to work with folks on both ends of the aisle and take a closer look at spending and how we can finally fix the outrageous tax increases we have all faced this year alone.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I don’t have the desire for recognition or praise, I simply want to serve the town I have loved for all my 33 years of life.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
The town seems to really want to put an end to all the warehouses and large building projects to preserve what’s left of our history and charm. I intend to listen to the people and give all my energy to the issues at hand.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
In my short few months in office I have shown that I can spark conversation with those in other parties and get them to really think before they vote on matters. I am currently the only Republican on the council so my heart and my communication has been my greatest tool. I’d love a longer chance to really show the town what I’m capable of accomplishing.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Do the right thing.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I’d love for the town to know that regardless of your party, race, religion, etc. - I view you as my equal and as a person I would always be willing to help to the best of my ability.
