Toys 'R' Us Pops Back Up In Buckland Hills
A pop-up Toys "R" Us is open and thriving this holiday season at Evergreen Walk.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Toys "R" Us is back with a bang with a focused store in Buckland Hills.
And the pop-up store is alive and well in South Windsor.
Last month, officials at The Shops at Evergreen Walk announced that Toys "R" Us will open a pop-up store for the holiday season, a move designed to bring back the iconic toy brand to the Buckland Hills commercial district.

The pop-up will remain at the property through the end of January 2026, officials said.
The store is located "in the heart of Evergreen Walk (at the Old Banana Republic), and will feature "a curated selection of the season’s most sought-after toys, games, and gifts for kids of all ages — including exclusive merchandise, family favorites, and the joyful shopping experience generations of fans know and love."

That certainly was the case Friday. One segment of that exclusive merchandise was a whole section dedicated to Geoffrey, the giraffe that has served as the brand's mascot since 1965.

For 2025, at least fore the holiday season, Toys "R" joined a mix of national and local retailers at The Shops at Evergreen Walk, including L.L. Bean, Anthropologie, Apple, Sephora, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Lululemon.
In 2018, the Manchester Toys "R" Us closed at the opposite end of Buckland Hills from Evergreen Walk.
In 2021, Macy's and Toys "R" Us announced they were teaming up to offer toy sales not only through the Macy's website but physically inside more than 400 Macy's location nationwide.
