Unresponsive Driver Arrested On DUI, Weapon Charges: South Windsor PD
Police said the man was found unresponsive behind the wheel of a vehicle that was still in drive.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Stafford Springs man was arrested Saturday on several charges after police said he was found unresponsive behind the wheel of a vehicle that was still in drive.
Police responded around 5:50 p.m. on Sept. 27 to the area of Main Street and Vibert Road on reports of an unresponsive man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle still in drive.
During the investigation, police said it was believed that the 40-year-old man was under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs.

The man refused to complete the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken into custody, according to police.
Police said the man was found to be in the possession of crack cocaine and a handheld stun gun taser was found in the vehicle.

The man was arrested on charges of operating under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle. He was released after posting a $200,000 bond with a court date of Oct. 15.
