Woman Accused Of Repeatedly Texting Victim To Kill Himself, South Windsor Police Say

Investigators say the texts and other actions violated an active protective order.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A South Windsor woman was taken into custody Wednesday after police said she repeatedly sent text messages telling the victim to kill himself.

According to police, the messages were sent in November 2025 and violated an existing protective order. Investigators also say she drove by the victim’s home, honked the horn, and made an obscene gesture toward him.

Police identified the woman as Lauren Haberern, 38. She was located at a South Windsor residence on December 10th, taken into custody, processed, and held on a $5,000 bond. She later appeared in Manchester Superior Court.
