November 27, 2020 - January 3, 2021
Free & Open to the Public
Calling all bakers! Whether you are a professional pastry chef or a member of a scout troop, we want to see your gingerbread creations! Please register your house before November 6th. This year the festival will be hosted by the Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor, outdoors in “picture perfect” storefront windows. Visitors can walk up and down the outdoor promenade at their leisure, while maintaining social distancing guidelines.
We Need Bakers!

Our new location this year means we will have a few requests for entries that are different that previous years. We ask that your creation be mainly made out of edible materials, with a few restrictions:
- no gelatin (it can create mold)
- no buttercream frosting (it can melt)
- no battery packs
- Your house should be mounted on a sturdy base that cannot exceed 12 inches deep by 20 inches wide.
Due to constraints on volunteers to plan for and decorate a variety of storefront windows, please consider making a house that will match one of the window themes (they are listed in the registration form).
Deadline to register: November 6th
The Wood is committed to keeping this "can't miss" community event available to the public during the festive holiday season and partnering with The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk will allow us to provide a safe environment for patrons to enjoy the Gingerbread House display in a responsible way which will allow for appropriate social distancing and adherence to statewide Covid-19 requirements.
The latest details about this year's festival will be available at www.woodmemoriallibrary.org. Check back often for the latest updates! The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk are located in South Windsor, a short distance from Wood Memorial Library and Museum.
