Ex Accused Of Running Over Woman's Foot In Stafford
A dispute in Stafford has led to several charges against a Coventry man, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — An ex is accused of running over a woman's foot with children in his vehicle during a dispute in Stafford, state police said.
The 35-year-old from Coventry was served a warrant on Jan. 23, charging him with risk of injury to a child, third-degree assault out of negligence and fist-degree reckless endangerment, state police said.
The case dates back to Jan. 3, when state police were called to a home in Stafford. The current boyfriend of a 33-year-old woman told police that her ex, the father of a child with her, ran over the woman's foot with a car when an argument became heated, according to a warrant.

Two children were in the man's car being dropped off from school, but the man insisted he was on a time constraint. He is accused of taking one child out of a car seat, moving the car forward and running over the woman's foot and striking her leg, according to a warrant. The woman fell to the ground, hit her head, but managed to get up and remove the children from the vehicle before the ex drove away with the doors still open, a warrant states.
The woman showed state police a bruised leg and bump on her head but refused medical treatment, according to a warrant.
