STAFFORD, CT — State police had to tackle a man at a local fast food joint in Stafford after he previously stole items from another place of business, according to an arrest report.

The incident took place on Aug. 26. State police were dispatched to Tractor Supply at 59 West Stafford Road after a 31-year-old man was caught stealing jeans, according to an arrest report.

The man managed to elude store staffers and flee the store before state police arrived, state police said. He was, however, quickly found at McDonald's, located nearby at 89 West Stafford Road, according to an arrest report.

When state troopers arrived, the man began to run away, but was chased down and taken to the ground, according to an arrest report.

The man was charged with third-degree robbery, fifth-degree larceny and interfering with police, records show.
