WILLINGTON, CT — A dispute over an online marketplace "trade" in Willington has resulted in criminal charges against one of the parties involved, state police said.

The issue dates back to July 16, when a Willington man and a Vernon man agreed to trade a pickup truck for a trailer, respectively, via Facebook Marketplace, according to a warrant.

The exchange was made, but the Vernon man, who traded the truck, went back to the residence of the Willington man to claim the truck needed more work than divulged, according to a warrant.
