Lottery Player Scores Win-For-Life Prize Sold In Pawcatuck

STONINGTON, CT — A Pawcatuck lottery player is set for a lifetime of annual payouts after a winning LUCKY FOR LIFE ticket was sold at a local business, Connecticut Lottery officials said.

The ticket, which matched the numbers needed to win $25,000 a year for life, was purchased Jan. 9 at 87 West Tire LLC in Pawcatuck, according to the Connecticut Lottery. LUCKY FOR LIFE gives players the chance to win either $1,000 a day for life or $25,000 a year for life.

To land that prize, players must match five numbers. The odds of doing so are 1 in 1,813,028.

Another winning ticket was sold the same day in Mystic. A CASH5 ticket purchased at Mystic Mobil won $84,682, lottery officials said.

CASH5 is a daily draw game in which players choose five numbers from 1 to 35, with jackpot amounts varying based on ticket sales.

Lottery officials advise winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and keep them in a secure place. Prizes must be claimed within designated time frames, depending on the game.

The Connecticut Lottery says proceeds from ticket sales support education and other public programs across the state.
